Networking Requirements

A virtual connection that is used for communications between COMMANDbatch

and the RTC is created when the vRTC software is installed.

An additional Ethernet card is used for communications with RTC peripherals

such as the Precision Water System and PLCs.

A Bluestorm Serial Port card is used for communications with RTC serial

devices such as density meters, serial scales, etc.

Improving System Performance

• Other applications that use significant system resources should not be

running when COMMANDbatch and Microsoft SQL Server are running.

• To optimize performance when CO

MMANDbatch and SBS (Simplified

Batching System) or SMS (Soft Manual Station) are used together,

hardware acceleration should be turned off.

Keyboard Protector

Customers should purchase a rubber keyboard protector to increase the life of

the keyboard. Custom-fit protectors are available from:
